Alyx and Chad’s Eco-Friendly Wedding at the Brevard Zoo

Alyx and Chad’s Brevard Zoo Wedding in Melbourne Florida was nothing short of perfection. These two are from Georgia, but Alyx’s grandparents live in Melbourne. She has a love for animals and at the suggestion of her grandparents to check out the Brevard Zoo – next thing she knew – her and Chad were planning their destination wedding. With the help of Melanie (Melanie Paige Events + Design) – their wedding day was simple, sweet and filled with furry animals!

Surrounded by close friends and family, they had an outdoor ceremony at the Nyami Nyami River Lodge – followed by an indoor reception. My absolute favorite part of the day was visiting the birds! If you have ever been to the zoo with me, you know I stay far away from the bird exhibit. But after this wedding, I may have finally overcome my fear! The meerkats were so curious when I was styling Alyx’s dress and details. And that sloth, what a cutie! Alyx opted for eco-friendly flowers made from sola wood  instead of fresh. Both Chad and Alyx have the sweetest hearts and were a pleasure to spend the day with.
