MEET LISA

Kristin and Anthony’s jewel toned Up the Creek Farms Wedding

Kristin & Anthony’s elegant, southern-style wedding is bursting at the seams with class, style and southern traditions.  We began our day in the Decklan House with details and getting ready, followed by an outdoor ceremony under the Oak Cathedral. Afterwards, it was time for the bride & groom to DIG UP THE BOURBON!! Haven’t heard of this southern tradition?!? Southern folklore says that if you bury a bottle of bourbon upside down at your ceremony site, exactly one month before wedding day – then it won’t rain! These two had warm sunshine all day long!

There were so many tender moments – from Kristin’s dad tearing up as he walked her down the aisle, to heartfelt letters exchanged before the ceremony. I say it constantly but narrowing down almost 900 images into a short and sweet blog post, just doesn’t do a wedding justice! The reception in the boathouse included a “crazy hour” filled with props, glow sticks and a crowd of folks that knew how to party! Kristin & Anthony ended the evening with a sparkler exit – (before heading off to an amazing honeymoon in EUROPE!!) I have sincerely enjoyed getting to know these two and am excited as they begin this new journey together!
